Russia urged the international community on Monday to make a joint effort to halt the spread of bird flu. Yevgeny Nepoklonov, a veterinary official, told: "The routes of migratory birds from southeast Asia cross practically every country -- from Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia to Alaska and Europe."
